BOSTON, Jan. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Celebrating its 30th anniversary in January, J/Brice Design International has garnered a worldwide reputation, as a hospitality industry gamechanger and a dominant influence in 21st Century Hotel and Resort Design.

Jeffrey Brice Ornstein, CEO, who founded the firm in Boston in 1989, is known for coining the phrase, “The Cultural Spy”which summarizes his approach to a design process that redefines hotel design as hotel fashion. The movement he launched brought a guest-centric, rather than property-centric philosophy to hotel interior design and branding.

Ornstein is a favored consultant internationally, who is known for distinctive memorable hotel and resort designs that integrate local history, art, music, and landscape, as well as classical and popular culture. “Developers engage us for our ability to recognize and reinforce the sense of region – key to branding their properties and set them apart from the competition,” he said.

As a result, Ornstein is regarded as a leader in the Middle East, where he is among elite designers who have established the Arabian Peninsula as a luxury destination for sophisticated travelers.

In three decades, J/Brice has become an international design powerhouse with projects exceeding $5 Billion USDworldwide, half of which were Middle East commissions, including The Grand Heritage Hotel and Spa in Doha, The Royal Tulip in Alexandria and more recently The Kempinski Al Othman Hotel and Towers in Saudi Arabia, which is setting the new gold star standard for luxury in the Saudi Kingdom. “It is a superb example of how J/Brice’s vision keeps us at the forefront of design in the MENA region,” said Ornstein.
