New trends data reveals more and more boomers seek learning vacations in 2019
BOSTON, Jan. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Senior travel has emerged as a travel trend to watch in 2019. According to the AARP’s Travel Report of 2018, an estimated 37 percent of boomers spent more on travel in 2018 than they did in 2017, with no end to their increase in spending in sight. Road Scholar, the world’s largest not-for-profit educational travel organization, is impacting the lives of a greater number of adults, with nearly 125,000 individuals on target to experience its educational programs this year alone.
“From our new floating classroom aboard the Aegean Odyssey, to our expeditions to Antarctica, Road Scholar learning adventures offer participants the opportunity to explore the world and be a part of our community of learners,” said James Moses, president and CEO of Road Scholar. “Everyone who embarks on a Road Scholar program learns something new—whether it be about a particular destination, culture, or the transformative experience of learning something new about themselves. We invite boomers and beyond who wish to enroll in a truly unique experience to consider an educational journey with us in 2019.”
