“My addiction cost me my family at some points and my freedom,” says Grefsrud. “I was basically committing suicide on the installment plan. The biggest reason for sharing my story is to give others hope. There is light at the end of the tunnel.”

“Far From Finished” is a remake of AAC’s popular podcast of the same name. At its height the podcast had more than 150,000 downloads and listeners from over 60 countries. The audio version of the docuseries will eventually be released on the “Far From Finished” podcast as well, which can be found on iTunes and Soundcloud.

“There is nothing more powerful than getting to experience someone’s story first-hand,” says Stephen Ebbett, AAC’s chief digital marketing officer. “We hope our docuseries will open hearts and minds by exposing people to the realities of addiction and recovery. These stories are a testament that people recover from this disease and can rebuild their lives, proving that their journey is far from finished.”
